On February 9th, 2021 before the Tet of the Ox, ITL Aviation (Delta Air Lines team) successfully transported 20 tons of goods from Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi) to Incheon International Airport (Seoul) on Vietnam Airlines’ Charter flight number VN416 and connecting with Delta Air Lines’ flights to continue the journey from Seoul to the US.
Delta Air Lines is an offline carrier to Vietnam airfreight market. Delta Air Lines will connect with the airlines that own the direct aircrafts from Vietnam (online) via Korea’s gateways, Japan’s gateways and transporting goods to the airports in the US. However, during the period when the aviation industry has faced many difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the online airlines have canceled and cut many international flights, causing obstacles for optimization cooperation of cargo transport from Hanoi. Therefore, using Charter flight has become the optimal solution implemented by ITL Aviation at this period.
Utilizing the Tet period when the volume of goods from Korea to the US decreased, Delta Air Lines team under ITL Aviation took the opportunity, quickly contacted and cooperated with Vietnam Airlines to handle Charter flight from Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi) to Incheon International Airport (Seoul) and connecting Delta Air Lines’ flight to Memphis (US), transporting 20 tons of goods from Vietnam to the US.
Previously, in August 2020, Delta Air Lines team also successfully cooperated with Air Macau to transport 120cmb of goods from Hanoi to Tokyo on 2 flights of Air MaCau to connect with Delta Air Lines’ flights and continuing the journey from Tokyo to the US.
Transporting successfully 20 tons of goods to the US in the period of the Tet holidays and in the 3rd Covid-19 pandemic outbreak in Vietnam has showed the outstanding efforts and dedication of ITL Aviation team. This success will motivate ITL Aviation team and inspire ITL-ers on implementing the strategy of “Accelerate Above The Curve” in 2021.
