On last August 12th and August 16th, ITL Aviation HAN (Delta Airlines team) handled cargos transport from Hanoi to Tokyo on the two flights of Air Macau by Charter aiming to connect with Delta Airlines’ flights and continue the journey from Tokyo to the US.
These two flights have met ITL Aviation HAN customers’ needs of transporting cargos up to 120cbm to the US with Delta Airlines’ air waybill.
Delta Airlines is an offline carrier to Vietnam airfreight market and regular schedule of feeder airlines will be used to connect with Delta Airways via Tokyo gateway. In the Covid-19 period as currently, regular passenger flights between Hanoi and Tokyo are very limited and impact on the feeder airlines supply. To meet the needs of cargo transport to the US with high volume from our customers, ITL Aviation HAN team has liaised with Air Macau to hire two charter flights from Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi) to Narita International Airport (Tokyo) with narrow body passenger aircraft A321 and cargos have been loaded into the cabin.
This is the first time that ITL Aviation HAN has used the feeder airlines to transport cargos for Delta Airlines by charter flight. Cooperating with Air Macau is a flexible solution to adapt to the situation aiming to seize the opportunity in the disruption situation of flight schedule caused by
the Covid-19 pandemic as currently.
In the crisis period, nothing is easy and things are always fluctuating and we need to find opportunities in those fluctuations. This is the spirit that the ITL Aviation team always aims for, we always strive to find new flexible solutions, step out of the comfort zone, and making more efforts to adapt to situations to provide the best solutions to serve our customers and partners.
